Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

We would like to assure all of our customers that DS Medical will act on all current Government Coronanvirus (COVID-19) advice and precautions. Our utmost priority is to continue to provide the very best service to our customers, especially in this global time of need. 

*European & Republic of Ireland Deliveries*  We have been notified by our courier that they have paused European & Republic of Ireland deliveries due to delays and congestion at UK ports and more rigid requirements for channel crossings.

Given this unprecedented set of circumstances, out of our control, we have temporarily paused European and Republic of Ireland delivery services. We apologise for the inconvenience this will cause and assure you that will reactivate European & Republic of Ireland Deliveries when we are confident we can despatch to you.

Service Levels

Retail Store: Our retail store is temporarily closed to visitors.  We aim to re-open with a booking system very soon.

Website: We are still accepting and processing website orders as normal.  Where our website indicates we have stock we will do our utmost to dispatch on the same day.  In these exceptional times, we reserve the right to despatch standard delivery orders on the next working day.

Phone Lines: Due to exceptional demand we are unfortunately unable to take telephone orders or complex phone calls.  We ask that you submit any enquiries here: Contact Us or place your order through our website.

Deliveries: We are receiving daily courier collections and dispatching orders as normal.  Where we are aware beforehand of any issues affecting delivery, we will notify you. We are aware that some deliveries could be affected by regional courier staff levels due to self-isolation requirements.  In this instance, we would recommend contacting your local delivery depot using the tracking details we send you.


Common Questions:

Do you have any PPE surgical face masks, hand sanitiser, thermometers, Braun thermometer probe covers and disinfectant wipes in stock?

Our website indicates our in-stock products. If you require an out-of-stock product you have the option to sign up for an email stock notification list through the particular product page.  We would recommend you to do this so that you can receive an email alert as soon as stock arrives.

Why have some of your prices increased to higher levels than before the Pandemic?

Pricing of PPE related products, in particular, have increased due to supply shortages.  We only source products from trusted, reputable sources. For a period of time, we considered the prices we were being charged prohibitively high. We took the decision not re-stock certain products to avoid passing these higher costs on to our customers. We do not approve of "price gouging" and only have our customers best interests at heart.  DS Medical has been in business for 41 years and we greatly value the relationships we have with our customers.

I’m self-isolating. What delivery precautions are available to me?

We ask that you make a note of your self-isolation status in the order notes section when you place your order online. Another option would be to simply leave a signed note, attached to your front door, instructing the driver where your parcel should be left.

For consumers who want to accept deliveries at home but are self-isolating and minimising physical contact, ‘Accepted at Delivery Point’ is available. On arrival at the delivery address, the driver will knock or ring the bell and will then step away to a safe distance. They will then take a photo of the parcel and/or your note in the doorway as proof of delivery.  All drivers have been trained to remain 2 meters apart from the doorstep when delivering.

Where is my order/ I have a problem with my order?

We issue courier tracking details with all orders at the point of despatch which enable you to follow the progress of your order.

Can I place bulk orders?

Our website will only allow bulk ordering if we have sufficient stock.  In some instances to make it fairer for all customers, we operate a maximum purchase limit to some products.
